RT as a Security Barrier
Where there is a need for security barrier to protect pedestrians
from vehicles the RT Security Barrier comes into its own.
Used in busy car parks, outside large venues such as stadiums or
theatres where large crowds may gather, where there may be cars
and other vehicles manoeuvring or passing by. Acting as a crash
barrier the RT offers a large measure of peace of mind.
Yet, with the addition of locking posts, you can open up entry
ways whenever you need to allow access to your maintenance vehicles,
or tour buses etc.
Lorry parks and trailer storage areas also benefit from the RT
security barrier system. The tops cannot be knocked off the posts
to allow the bar to be removed. The welded lug key on the post,
ensures it cannot be pulled out of the concrete setting.
Also available are matching lockable barriers with fully shielded
padlock. The lock is only accessible from the underside, it cannot
be hammered off and is easily opened and closed for access.
Concrete security barriers have been used consistently for the
past two decades. For several years councils and other large authorities
have recognised distinct disadvantages with ageing concrete barrier
systems.
They are susceptible to damage from frost, can crack when hit by
vehicles, become almost impossible to repair when damaged. Replacing
them is also a large job for those who have to undertake the task.
The design and constriction of the RT barrier system has a much
longer life-span, will not be damaged when hit by cars or most other
vehicles (bar a little paint). It is far stronger than wooden rails,
and offers you not only better value for your investment, but the
additional security.
